Water Bill Assistance Program

 

The Long Beach Community Action Partnership has partnered with the Long Beach Water Department to assist in paying water charges on Utility Bills. Financial Assistance will become available for eligible residents on May 5th, and be provided on a first come, first serve basis. 

Eligible residents can qualify for a $200 one-time benefit directly applies towards water charges on their Long Beach Water Department bill.

Program Information

Program funding is limited and distributed on a first come, first served basis. The credit will cover water charges only; any gas, sewer or refuse charges are your responsibility. If you do not have all required documents at the time your application is received, we cannot process your application. Throughout the application process, you may receive phone, email or mail correspondence from Long Beach Utilities (Water Department) or the Long Beach Community Action Partnership. You will not receive correspondence from outside or third-party organizations besides these two. Please be mindful of potential outside scams who might reach out to you asking for personal, confidential information.

How to apply:

1. Call 1-562-216-4614 to schedule an appointment for assistance with the application. If you are unable to reach a staff member for scheduling, please leave a voicemail including your name, phone number and reason for calling.

2. Complete an application and the following documents; If you have questions, we can assist you on the day of your appointment.

3.    Gather the following documents and bring them to your appointment:

Intake
COVID-19 Statement
A current water bill, within the last 30 days (bring the original, not a copy)
Copies of all household income for the past 30 days for all adults 18 years or older
A copy of your valid California driver’s license or other valid California picture ID

4.   Attend your scheduled application appointment. (Please arrive on time, or we may ask you to return another time.)

If you do not have all of your documents at the time of your appointment, we cannot process your application.
